URBAN LIGHTS CONTACTS HAVE BEEN EXHIBITED IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES.

“Urban Lights Contacts” is an temporary interactive art project that uses light installations in urban environments to encourage positive relationships between people and their surroundings. The project involves the use of sensors and other technologies to detect the presence of people and create a unique and dynamic auditory experience. The initiators of the project were artists, Centre des Arts d’Enghien-les-Bains, Scène conventionnée pour les écritures numériques.

CONTEXT

"Urban Lights Contacts" is an interactive art project that aims to foster positive relationships between people and their urban surroundings. The project features interactive light installations that respond to the presence and movements of people in the area through sensors and other technologies, producing sound, changing color, or moving. The ultimate goal of the project is to create a sense of connection between individuals and their urban environments, promoting positive interactions and relationships [1].

INTERVENTION STRATEGIES

This interactive artwork features a ball that reacts to living bodies. It requires two people to touch it to activate unique sounds that vary based on proximity and the presence of onlookers [1]. The artwork aims to create a dynamic auditory experience that is directly influenced by the participants' interactions with one another, and sound is used to enhance the immersive quality of the artwork.
