HET KLANKENBOS SOUND FOREST IN NEERPELT, BELGIUM

Het Klankenbos Sound Forest is an immersive art installation in Neerpelt, Belgium, consisting of 17 sound installations placed throughout a forest. It was initiated by Musica Impulse Center, Gemeente Pelt, and Provincial Domain Dommelhof and was first implemented in 2005. It is open and free to the public.

CONTEXT

The Klankenbos Sound Forest is an art project that features 17 sound installations made with natural sounds, electronic music, and recorded voices. The installations are placed among the trees to create a surreal and immersive soundscape experience for visitors. Wooden artwork is also scattered throughout the park [1].
